I just got home, and encountered a skunk standing between me and the door to my apartment building.
He locked gazes with me, using his beady little eyes.
His tail went all raised and bushy and everything.
A Mexican stand-off, if ever I saw one.
Luckily, he ran away into the bushes.
Bitch.

ew! We saw one outside our building once and our friends had a whole family living in front of their place (cute stinky babies!). Damn those Griffith Park critters.

Skunks are cute. The guys on Mythbusters couldn't get a skunk to spray them (and they tried a few). So my guess is that they're not as quick to spray as we think. Also, tomato juice doesn't get rid of the smell, but a paste of baking soda and peroxide does.
