It has been a quiet but pleasant holiday season. I had all these fantasies of accomplishing so much while I was home, but they seem to have fallen by the wayside, to be replaced by sleeping, eating, and reading Dan Brown novels. Also been watching some movies. AndI fixed all my Airport issues, which had to do with the FCC restricting American wireless devices to 2 channels less than European devices.
After my disappointment with Blade Trinity, it was with great interest that I encountered this rumour, which has suffused the web. Don't see any reason to disbelieve it, as I can certainly sympathise with his reported complaint. It didn't really feel like Blade was the star of this movie. And that Drake guy was like a Charmed villain, not the kind of badass this franchise normally provides. On the subject of celluloid disappointment, I caught the trailers for both The Pacifier and XXX: State of the Union over at Apple. Why oh why did Vin Diesel abandon XXX to make this ridiculous Mr. Nanny rip-off, and why oh why did anybody ever think Ice Cube was a suitable replacement for Xander Cage? Surely some small ability to emote is required? Or even to vary the pitch and timbre of one's voice? Sigh. I'm sure I'll see them both.
Looks like I'm going to Vauxhall for New Year's Eve. Hopefully MI6 will keep me safe.
