I've been rationing my enjoyment of Halo 2's single player campaign, but can now wholeheartedly endorse the multiplayer game. It seems somehow crazier than its predecessor, as though someone turned the carnage dial up to 10. Much fun was had Wednesday and Thursday nights on Slayer mode (I don't know if "anubis" and "happy texas" would agree). Also, assaulting the Scarab is more fun with someone to share the joy.
The Incredibles is excellent. Probably my favourite Pixar movie to date, though that is not surprising considering its subject matter. Obviously its a riff on the Fantastic Four, but more pleasing to me was that it borrows a lot from Watchmen. I honestly don't have any real hope that the movie adaptation of Watchmen will be able to treat the story any better than this little animated movie (which was surprisingly dark in places). Even more exciting was that this was the first movie I've ever seen in digital projection (at the Mann's Marketplace 4 in Glendale). The images on the screen had thus never left the digital realm, and the result was extremely crisp and vivid.
I sent my letter of complaint to Apple, though I doubt it will bear any fruit. Bastards.
Now back to Syriac. I've also got some Habermas to read, but that is very heavy-going. Kind of interesting, but extremely dense. Takes a lot of mulling over, it does.

did i tell you that i saw habermas last month? (i may have, while drunk at tndc.) very cool man, incredibly lucid in spite of age, language difference, and what appears to have been a stroke. he signed my books and asked me what i was studying. surprisingly humble. shame so many misunderstand (and therefore oversimplify & attack) him. argh! i'm rambling! sorry!
