So the box this site is hosted on got hacked a few weeks back, which buggered up the Gallery section. Then they switched servers on me, which is what I believe made Movable Type forget who I am. So this site has been both dormant and useless for a spell. But thanks to some odd sense of resolution, I've managed to get both back up and running. The Gallery was relatively easy: turns out only the main index was missing, and the directory tree was still intact - yay! Movable Type had to be deleted and re-installed completely. Then I had to paste in all the old entries and post-date them all. So some of the embedded links are missing from them, and all your lively comments have gone the (chortle) way of all flesh.

But at least they are still there in some form.

There was an excellent Halloween party on Saturday, hosted by the ebullient Del, Phil and Steve. Sadly I have no photos of this star-studded event, as I discovered my compact digital camera (ie, the one for parties) seems to also have gone the (snicker!) way of all flesh. Apparently the usual electronics rule applies: it would be cheaper to get a new one than get it fixed. Which isn't actually all bad, because the one I'm eyeing up is sexier and very reasonably priced. But it's still more money. Sigh.
